The Year of the Sleeve – featuring your McCall’s M7542 pattern

It’s time to put this summer’s trends to the test, and this month’s FREE McCall’s 7542 top pattern ticks all the boxes with five fashion-forward sleeve options.

Version C of McCall’s 7542 is the gorgeous pleated sleeve. We made our version up in this amazing turquoise Modern Twist on Gingham cotton fabric by FabWorks – at just £4 a metre, it will look great with your denim jeans or skirt.

Version B is the sensational fluted sleeve version. This style looks beautiful in a crepe, rayon or slightly heavier-weight woven viscose, to give those sleeves the attention they need. We chose this orange crepe from Ditto Fabrics – at £8.99 per metre.

Version E is the super cute, ruched raw edged sleeve version. We love this as a day-to-night option and made it in a lovely dobby cotton voile at £6.50 from Stone Fabrics.

Version A has a tulip sleeve and works well in a casual or evening fabric. We choose this floral print rayon fabric from Sew Over It – at £12 per metre.

Our very own Editor Sam made Version C!
